Polyester is the workhorse of modern rope fibers. It finds the sweet spot between the 4 key characteristics of rope: strength, durability, stretch and price. There are fibers that can beat polyester in each of these 4 categories, but no other fiber does better in all 4 categories at once.

We sell polyester rope in 2 different constructions. 3 strand, or double braid. Double braid is the better quality and more versatile. 3 strand is easy to splice, has many of the same properties as double braid, but is better value for money.
